If you, or you and a friend/family member can give 3 hours at any time during the year, we would really appreciate your help. Perfect for retirees or able-bodied seniors who enjoy meeting and talking to people.
Docents are persons who guide visitors through the house and tell the story of the Benjamin Long Family and their home.
If you would be interested in assisting with this worthwhile task, please contact Carole Barnard at the Museum 694-7406.
New recruits will be thoroughly oriented before being asked to do tours on their own. Please help so that we may stay open for all dates on our calendar. Many volunteers make the burden light.

About seventy people had the opportunity to visit the Benjamin Long Homestead during Canal Fest week. Many had never had the opportunity to tour this historic gem before and most expressed an interest in returning during the Christmas season to see the decorations provided by the Garden Club of the Tonawandas.
Without the efforts of our docents this would not have been possible. Special thanks go to Louise Balling, Paul & Sue Holway, Dianne Pielecha, Norma Stryker and Erika Wanaski for making the time to conduct tours during that hectic week. Thank you!
