Salem United Church of Christ is generously hosting our 2018 Holiday Party at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12th. The Church is located at 114 Morgan Street in the City of Tonawanda.
We will gather in their original mid-1800s sanctuary bedecked with holiday greenery and candles setting the festive mood of the season. James Williams, the Church Historian as well as a faculty member at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute, will present an overview of the Church’s 150 year-plus role in the service to the spiritual needs of their parishioners and to the changing social needs of the community.
Next, our spirits will be lifted by the Christmas music provided by the Bell Ringers of the First United Methodist Church of North Tonawanda, directed by Ellen Baker. Ellen will give a brief history of Bell Ringers as she introduces her group and their joyous sound fills the air.
Following the performance, Salem Church members will be providing refreshments in keeping with the Holiday season as we gather in their fellowship hall.
Don’t miss this inspiring program and the opportunity to learn about one Tonawanda church’s historical journey and another North Tonawanda church’s musical contributions.
Parking is available on both sides of Main and Morgan Streets and entrances on both streets will be open.
