Val Cronin returns as our guest speaker on March 9th. She previously regaled us with history and personal stories about growing up in the OLC parish and even sang in Polish in December 2019.
Val began her career as a technologist in Nuclear Medicine. She was later elected President of the Society of Nuclear Medicine Technologist Section and was also awarded status as Fellow for the same society.
What better way to celebrate “Women’s History Month” than to have Val Cronin, a woman who additionally received the Distinguished Toast Master Award from Toastmasters International. Val will be giving us some insights on some of the extraordinary work done by these leaders who put in motion changes that affected our political, educational, health, and welfare systems.
Sara Hensler Bradshaw and Mary Louise Nice were active in the women’s suffrage movement in the Tonawandas, while Niagara County resident, Belva Lockwood was the first woman to ever run for the office of President of the United States.
