Public Displays - Heritage Partners
Artifacts on display throughout the Twin Cities
In 2002, the Historical Society of the Tonawandas
Originated the Heritage Partnership Program.
This cooperative effort has enabled more artifacts from the society's extensive collections to be moved out of storage and into the community. Displays may currently be found at:
- DeGraf Memorial Hospital
- Kibler Apartments
- Niawanda Park Pavilion
- North Tonawanda City Hall
- North Tonawanda Public Library
- Railroad Museum of the Niagara Frontier
- Tonawanda City Hall
- Tonawanda Senior Citizen's Center
And in storefront window displays and interior décor at several local businesses.
Additional Heritage Partners are always being sought.
In concert with the Historical Society of the Tonawandas mission, the collection includes artifacts relating to the local and regional history of the Twin Cities, the Erie Canal, Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Western New York, and the Great Lakes.
